What's drumming
got to do with documentation?
Nothing... and everything. Drumming balances the intellectual, solitary
activity of writing with a dynamic, physical, group activity. Mix in some dancers and an
hour or two will change your whole day. Guaranteed.

Drum Camps
Congolese Dance and Drum Work Shop - This is the
great grand daddy of all drum camps and is held in August each year. It is an excellent
way to sharpen your dancing and drumming skills while living in a transplanted Congolese
African Village. The camp is located near Chico, in Northern California USA. The
instructors are world-class dancers and drummers. For more information contact Cai Sorlien
at (530) 288-3603 - 2500 Pike City Road, North San Juan, CA 95960 U.S.A,
or Regine
N'Dounda (510) 441-9389. You can also check it all out on
the Congo
Camp web site. Email is congocamp@aol.com.
There is also a winter edition of the Congolese Dance & Drum
Workshop in Hawaii from Friday February 15th, 2002 through February
24th, 2002. The Congolese Workshop is a nine day camp on the lush Hawaiian island of Maui.
